Half Life Alyx is a really great VR game, but its greatness extends almost exclusively from being a VR game and having really authentic-feeling interactions and excellent immersion. As a non-VR game, it will pretty average, even kind of mediocre. The atmosphere will still be great, but its problems - bullet spongey enemies, glacial story pacing I'd say minimum for running ok vr is gtx 960. But alyx requires gtx 1060, don't skimp out on video card, alyx just from screen shots, looks like it needs a good video card. Steam vr is mandatory for hl alyx. If you want to use vd “virtual desktop” for wireless vr you need to start Alex from within steam. If you need a guide head over to virtual desktops discord channel. i mean im not so good at programming and stuff but maybe you can make .txt with this command.
