The soft top has grown on me, but it's going to get cold. EDIT: New York Winters. Below freezing temperatures + Slow and Sleet. I used my soft top last winter as a daily and honestly it wasn't bad at all. Miatas have such a small cabin that once you crank the heat for a minute you'll be just fine.
I went with Soft Top on my ND2. Here's why: 1) I'd rather have a 'full convertible.'. The RF 'B pillars' are noticeable while open-air driving and the car is more like a targa than a convertible. 2) There is more headroom under the soft top than there is under the RF top. This was a consideration for me.
