My 2010 A6 3.0t tstat just went out as well at 108k miles. Took it to the indy Audi shop, $1200 for tstat replacement. I got a lot of mechs telling me it was the head gasket, whew, glad it wasn't that. These guys are top notch, 3zero3 in Denver. They say these 3.0t's are rock solid and to have no fear about the usual Audi horror stories.

I have recently purchased a 2012 A6 Avant 3.0 TDI with a DPF fault which didnt really scare me as the car was cheap. Anyway I then discovered that the heaters are blowing cold (ish) air and not giving any hot air which the DPF specialist said I should have looked at before throwing money at the DPF. The garage has stripped half the dash.

I have this weird problem with my car, an Audi A6 allroad from 2015 with the 3.0 tdi 218 CRTE engine. I bought the car in Nov 2018 from Germany and for 2 years I had absolutely no issue. First issue (oil cooler leak) The first problem that appeared was a leak in the gasket of the top oil cooler of the engine.

It’s got new injectors, new 11mm pump, engine has about 30k miles on it New vacuum pump, new N75, new one way check valve, newer turbo, new exhaust.
