Also adblue is basically urea. Urea and steel do not mix well and will cause advance corrosion. Keeping a bottle in the boot could spill or vent to atmosphere over time and witching the sealed boot environment could cause corrosion. So I took the car to my local independant citroen specialist. They diagnosed that the adblue pump is broken and the whole tank needs replacing at £800 plus labour!! They reset the fault lights and the car ran for 1900 miles before the same lights started flashing. It needed 8 litres adblue to fill the tank. So the pump is pumping and not broken.

That could vary wildly depending on where the injector is. If it's easily accessible, it's an hour or two's work and your quote is high.
