Running latest version of the game, with ProMods and Project NG weather. If I decide to load a save in game (not necessarily because I've crashed and caused myself 37% damage or anything) the game will crash. This is the process: Decide to load a save. Press escape. In game menu appears. Click on Load / Save. Click on Load. Select Load point.

very odd, try taking a look in Users\your username\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 and open game.log.txt if there is anything in it post it to paste bin then pop the link here. The last mention of ets 2 causing a steam crash was way back in 2013 and not since so there is something very strange at play here. #3.

have a look in your "..\MyDocuments\Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder. There should be a file called "game.crash.txt" or "game.crash.log" Take a look in there. That may tell you what's causing it. Also, same folder, seek out "game.log.txt" That will tell you what happened during game boot, and if anything failed to load, or was missing. SECOND OPTION:

Hello @AshoMen, i am not sure if this is the same issue, but for me my ETS 2 was constantly crashing after clicking the 'Exit'-button to close the game.What solved the issue for me was to navigate to 'D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64' (or wherever your ETS 2 is installed) and delete the file 'd3d9.dll' in that folder.
The way to fix this is: Step 1. If you right clicked it's shortcut, make sure you clicked the shortcut tab. This has been happening for some time now. (I don't recall exactly the first time it happened by as far as I remember it started around 1.37 update.) It has been happening on bot ATS and ETS2.
